Coverage and corrections

Podium holds the competition records that organisers and researchers have sent us and an editor has checked. If someone isn't here, we don't hold the record yet. It doesn't mean they didn't take part.

What the labels mean

Each record carries three separate labels. One says whether the event happened, one says whether the result is final, and one says how well the archive has checked it.

Archive review

  • Not yet reviewed

    An organiser sent this record. An editor has not checked it yet.

  • Reviewed

    An editor checked this record for consistency. At least one fact has no source we could inspect.

  • Source-checked

    An editor matched every fact on this record against a named source.

  • Incomplete record

    We hold only part of the results, for example the winner but not the other places.

Checked by Podium editors. It is not an endorsement by any government body or organiser.

Result status

  • Result status: Not announced The event happened but no result has been announced.
  • Result status: Provisional Announced, but the organiser may still change it.
  • Result status: Official The organiser confirmed the result.
  • Result status: Under appeal Someone has appealed. The result may change.
  • Result status: Amended Changed after it was first published. The record history says what changed.

Places

"=4" means a tie for 4th; the next place is 6th. DQ, WD, DNF and DNS mean disqualified, withdrew, did not finish and did not start. "Not recorded" means the source doesn't give the value.
