Media permissions and removal

What we show
We show a photo or recording only when the organiser who sent it has told us they have the right to share it. Results are facts and appear even when no recording does.
Videos appear only once they have captions or a transcript.
Students
A student's result always stays on record. Their name appears only when their school or parent has given permission for that competition. Without it, the record says "Student" and the school name.
Photos and recordings of students need a separate permission. Permission to show a name is not permission to show a photo.
Former students can ask us to add or remove their name at any time. We log the change without recording who asked.
Asking for removal
Use the form on the corrections page. When you ask us to remove a photo or recording, we hide it straight away while an editor decides.
We aim to decide within [2] working days for students and [14] days for everything else.
Once removed, an item stops playing on Podium and leaves search. We cannot recall copies that someone downloaded before it was removed.
